Today’s headline in Sweden is about Glenn who shot 3 elks in six minutes and with six shots. What can I say? We obviously find this interesting enough to put on the front page….Well, seven o’clock in the morning and I’m sitting here with my morning coffee and thought, how much do i really know about these big animals? So here is some facts abut Moose from Wikipedia.

Moose (Alces alces) is the world’s largest living deer.
It lives in northern Europe, Asia and North America
You recognise the moose by its large size and on its the large multi-tagged crown.
A moose can reach a height of 230 cm. The weight of a cow ranges from 270 to 360 kg and a bull at about 380 to 540 kg, however bulls can be found up to 800kg!!

Moose hunting in Sweden is carried out today mainly for fun, however some hunt for meat or to cull numbers to sustainable levels.  When driving in Sweden, keep an eye out for warning signs…….. a moose can cause significant damage to the a car and its driver!

That’s all for today
