Time to drink Champagne and dance on the table!!
A fantastic year has passed by and an other one is about to start. Can’t wait for 2013!!
Two excellent restaurants in Margaret River is Wino’s ( picture above) and Waves (picture below). Wino’s have excellent wine and food and at Waves your can bring your own wine (we bought ours at the vineyard the same day) to enjoy with an outstanding seafood platter.
Second day in Margaret River we started at Voyager Estate. They have a fantastic rose garden and the second biggest flag in Australia (but the flag was missing 😦 ). After that we went to the family owned Watershed which had beautiful lavender outside. The third vineyard we went to (and we started to get a but drunk here….) was Gralyn Estate . They have really good fortified wines (stickies) and cold Cabernets.
First day in Margaret River we started at one of the most famous wineries; Leeuwin Estate. On many of the labels they have art work, much of which can be seen at the gallery at the winery. After that we went to Pierro which had a really nice Chardonnay (of which we bought way too many bottles….). Last winey was Howard Park where mum and Bertil invested in a vest each (they can’t bring any more wine back to Sweden…. 🙂 )
