Time for some sailing on the Swan River! Weather is perfect, 30 degrees and a little bit windy. Hope to see dolphins that are often found swimming in the River :). Last time I was sailing on a Catamaran was when I was seven years old and part of the scouts back home. I was not very impressive back then so hopefully I will be a little bit better today.
Happy Easter everyone!
You realize that traditions are celebrated in very different ways when you live abroad. In Sweden, Easter celebration has been transformed into a kind of entertainment for children. Children dressed in kerchiefs and long skirts walk the streets carrying old fashioned coffee kettles wish they expect to have filled with candy or small change. We call them Easter hags or Easter witches.
Here in OZ I have not seen any Easter witches and I am pretty sure I would not get any small change or candy if I gave it a try. The weather is too hot here anyway. Easter in Perth is celebrates on the beach followed by a barbecue and yes, of course some hot crossed buns.
Fantastic!! H&M has confirmed that they will open in Australian next year!! Since I’m a big fan of the Swedish retail store I’m very excited about finally have H&M here in OZ!!!! H&M haven’t confirm were their first store will be located but rumor says Melbourne or even Sydney. Hopefully we will get one in Perth 2015 but I guess Darwin is completely out of the picture 😦
The paper says “The problem croc had reportedly been lurking in the community for two years and had stopped children from crossing the causeway to school” So this is what the parents in Darwin has to worry about? Their children getting eaten by a 4.6 meter crocodile when they are going to school!!!?? That is just insane!!
