On our way to Litchfield National Park, about two hours drive south of Darwin.

The landscape in the top end is so different to Perth. Even if we are just coming out of the wet season the ground is all dry. In about three months there will be no green trees out here.

135 stairs left to go….

Litchfield has several stunning tropical waterfalls and swimming holes.

It is beautiful but it is not like the beaches in Perth…. After 30 minutes we have had enough of both of the hot weather and of all the people. Being accustomed to having a whole beach to yourself, it is pretty hard to enjoy sitting on hard rocks next to three screaming kids.

People who lives in Darwin seems to love the place. So far I am not too impressed. Hoping that I soon will understand the charm of this hot and humid city.
