The only photo I have from Friday’s game. We lost 😦 Several players was off sick so I had to start! After 3 minutes I almost fainted. First of all I am old, second I am not well trained at the moment and third I am not used to play in 35 degrees. Well, I recoverd and managed to play the whole game through. Pretty cool that your body reacts on instinct when you play. Even if I have not played a game in 6 years my body seems to know what to do. The only thing I really need to work on now is my shooting and my fitness because that was not very impressive at all…..
Last week we moved from the Darwin CBD up to Nightcliff. It is a 20 min drive from the city but you do not have to share the streets with backpackers in Nightcliff. Instead you get the beautiful sea views and are close to the nature. As you can see on the “map” of Darwin there are a few markets here. One of the most popular on is Midil Beach Sunset Market.
You can find anything from food, clothes, art, jewelry to local artists playing on stage. The market is always crowded and you can tell that the citizens of Darwin love to meet up and hang out here.
Aussie burgers someone? Or maybe some Honey Puffs? 🙂
Lots of long walks along the coast. At night time you can be outside without dying. Well, you still sweat a lot (or I do) but hopefully my body will adjust soon…..
Something Darwin has got is stunning sunsets. Every evening the sky lights up with fantastic colors, each day different from the other.
We ended the weekend with Darwin food and wine festival. And of course with some fireworks.
Make sure you don’t miss this place when you are in Ubud. I was here two years ago and the Energy Smoothie tasted just as good as I remembered it. Set in a lush jungle overlooking a small valley the place is made for complete relaxation. The access in only by foot along the rice paddy track. A beautiful walk.
